Welcome

The Whaling Station accommodation is two refurbished (1998) whalers houses which overlook the historic Whaling Station.  The houses are nestled in a sandy, sheltered bay with an idyllic outlook over Tory Channel.

In a place where you can swim, water ski, dive, kayak, walk through the bush... catch some fresh fish for tea...

Or, alternatively, if you prefer something more laid- back, a place where you can escape the hectic pace of modern lifestyles and enjoy the peaceful serenity... look at some of New Zealand's spectacular scenery... listen to the sound of nature, the sea, the wildlife... take in the clean, fresh air...

fishing

Through experience and feedback, it is recommended that you have your own boat, or hire a dinghy from Picton, guests with boats tend to have more options available (fishing, exploring etc).  We do not have any boats available.  This does not exclude those without boats, there have been many holiday makers without boats that still had an enjoyable stay.
